Lucas Willman
Lucas Willman is a South Carolinian pursuing a major in finance and a minor in real estate. His project, “An Alternative Solution for College Students,” focuses on the mental health problems that commonly plague college students. While showing the conventional treatments that are typically prescribed to combat these ailments, Lucas also highlights the benefits of utilizing different alternative medicines. He hopes that through his project, he can help others learn about alternative medicine and take charge of their mental health journeys. Lucas was inspired to pursue this topic for his project based on his own exposure to alternative medicine. His mother is a practicing craniosacral therapist who specializes in treating newborns and was also a source of inspiration for his project. Lucas would like to thank his family for introducing him to the world of alternative medicine, and he would also like to thank his Writing and Rhetoric professor Erin McLaughlin for guiding him through the writing and research process and helping him get to this point.
